What is Desi?



Term "Desi" is used to refer to people of South Asian origin such as India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan.This student organization is established to promote diverse Desi culture at Grand Valley State University, Michigan.

Desi Student Union is meeting THURSDAY NOVEMBER 19 AT 7:00PM in the MURRAY LOUNGE. We will be making Chicken curry and rice :)

Intercultural Fest This Week

This week is Intercultural Fest :)

We are doing a couple of things for Intercultural Fest...

-Instead of our usual Thursday meeting we are presenting Slumdog Millionaire this Thursday in the Kirkhoff theater at 8:00pm.  We will be having a discussion after the movie.  There will be plenty of free food/snacks!!!!  Feel free to bring your friends :)

-Friday is Global Gala!  This is a showcase of all the cultural organizations.  We are doing a dance for this event.  This event starts at 6:30pm in Grand River Room/Pere Marquette (Kirkhoff)
